According to Patrick Reusse of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Brock Lesnar was in attendance at the Target Center Friday night as the Minnesota Timberwolves played host to the defending NBA World Champion Boston Celtics. This was Kevin Garnett's first game back at the Target Center after being traded from the Wolves to the Celtics before last season. Reusse joked that Lesnar was wincing and turning away from the action in the brutal third quarter, as the Wolves lost 95-78. Lesnar was a part of what will most likely be the only sell out at the Target Center this season. Lesnar's not the only former pro wrestler to frequent Wolves games, as former Governor of Minnesota Jesse Ventura used to attend the games on a regular basis as well.
Penick Analysis: Reusse referred to Lesnar as the Champion of "Ultimate Fighting," further showing the lack of knowledge in the sport to some of the main sportswriters in this country. It was still an entertaining look at how bad that Wolves team is, as even the UFC Heavyweight Champion couldn't bear to look.
