The all-female Invicta Fighting Championships held their first event last night at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan., with former Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion Marloes Coenen defeating Romy Ruyssen for the second time in her career in the night's main event.
The card featured several recognizable names in the world of women's MMA, including Strikeforce title challenger Liz Carmouche, Lisa Ellis, Kaitlin Young, and Sarah D'Alelio, among others. There was plenty of action on the card as well, with several exciting finishes and a fantastic bout between Young and Leslie Smith - a fight that ended in a split draw after three furious rounds of action.
