The American Fighting Organization's Night of Champions is going down live at the Holiday Inn in Mansfield, MA. Tonight's card is a mix of amateur and professional fights. Six of the sixteen fights tonight are amateur championships and two of them are for pro championships.

Mark Delagratee is in attendance as two of his fighters are in both of the pro title bouts. Tyson Chartier (Sityodtong) is taking on Thane Stimson (Team Alpha Male) for the 155 lbs. strap and Brandon Chagnon (Sityodtong) is fighting Jeremy Ross (Gladiator BJJ) for the 170 lbs. belt. Timothy Leary (Redline Fight Sports) will be facing Mike Burke (Lake Valley) for the AFO 170 lbs. Amateur title. There are a host of great fights tonight.

Amateur 125 lbs. Championship Bout: Jarrod Sarno vs. Mike DeLosReyes

Round: 1
They touch gloves and Sarno throws a big left and moves DeLosReyes to the cage. They lock and go down with Sarno on top. He opens up with rights on DeLosReyes from the top. Sarno backs off and pounces again. DeLosReyes tries to get up, but Sarna keeps him down. now in Half guard Sarno works, but DeLosReyes sweeps and lands on top in guard. Sarno is tying up limbs making it hard for DeLosReyes to work. Sarno gets up and pushes DeLosReyes to the cage an goes for a takedown. DeLosReyes stuffs and gets Sarno down and ends up back in guard. DeLosReyes throws a couple strikes. Sarno fires back from the bottom as the bell rings.
Round 2:
DeLosReyes lands a left hook and Sarno pushes him to the cage to neutralize. Sarno gets DeLosReyes down, but DeLosReyes ties up his limbs. DeLosReyes tries to hip ouy and get up, but Sarno shifts and stays on top. Sarno is in half guard. DeLosReyes lands a scissor sweeps and gets on top. Sarno grabs ouble under hooks and stands up. The belt rings.

Round 3:
Sarno comes in strong and gets DeLosReyes against the cage. DeLosReyes stays off the takedown for a while, but Sarno gets a single leg. DeLosReyes tries to wall walk, but Sarno keeps him down. DeLosReyes struggles and then gets a butterfly sweep and lands in ful guard. Now Sarno butterfly sweeps and DeLosReyes is on his back again. DeLosReyes is striking form the bottom with a pair of lefts. The bell rings.

Sarno wins via Unanamous Decision


Amateur 145 lbs. Championship Bout: Billy Giovanella vs. Devin Pilkington

Round 1:
They touch glove and stalk. Giovanella shoots in and Pilkington is holding it off against the cage. Giovanella gets control and slams him hard. Pilkington tries to stand up, but he gets slammed again. They work and Pilkington ties up limbs. Then he goes for an armbar. Giovanella gets out and stays on top until the round ends.

Round 2:
Giovanella goes for a takedown and Pilkington grabs his neck and grabs a tight guillotine. Giovanella gets out and stacks up. Giovanella starts to work and gets caught in a triangle. Pilkington will not let go. Giovanella spins around and is an awkward north south and the bell sounds.

Round 3:
This fight gets back to the ground like the rounds before with Giovanella on top. He advances to side and gets knee on belly. Pilkington gets up and Giovanella throws rights to the ribs as he stands. He grabs a choke and falls back with Giovanella head in sort of tight, but he gets out and Giovanella lands some ground and pound. (Cage door is obstructing my view.) The round ends.

Giovanella wins via Unanamous Decision

Amateur 155 lbs. Championship Bout: Cory Pickering vs. Soap Am


Round 1:
The exchange and Am lands a giant right hand and Pickering is out! Am lands one more for good measure. WOW!

Am wins via KO - Rd. 1 - :18


Amateur 155 lbs Championship Bout: Kevin Ortiz vs. Jared Heon

Round 1:
Heon lands a leg head kick to open. They tie up and Heon suplexes Ortiz. He gets up and Heon works for a takedown with Ortiz against the cage. Ortiz with a left knee to the body and he takes Heon down and gets in half guard as he strikes. Ortiz tries to pass to side control, and he gets swept. He puts holds Heon in half guard. Heon is landing light strikes from the top, as he backs Ortiz against the cage. Heon has Ortiz on his side and he is landing hammerfists to the head and body. The bell rings.

Round 2:
Heon throws a kick and Ortiz lands a stiff right. Heon fires back with a combo while Ortiz is against the cage. Ortiz ties him up and pulls guard. Heon is landing body-body-head combos from half guard. Ortiz is trying to hip out, but Heon unloads on him.

Round 3:
Both men are swing wildly and then, Ortiz is taken down and Heon is on top and in half guard. Ortiz can’t seem to get up and Heon is on top working ground and pound until the bell rings. This is looking like a 10-8 round for Heon.

Heon wins via Unanimous Decision


Amateur 170 lbs. Championship Bout: Mike Burke vs. Tim Leary

Round 1:
They barely touch gloves and Burke rushes in and pushes LEary to the cage and Leary lands a nice knee. He puts a guillotine on Burke and almost pulls guard, but Burke gets out. They stay clenched and Leary lands a knee. Leary spins him to the cage and lands a big knee to the gut of Burke. Another knee. They are still locked up and Leary takes his back and lands a great shot to the ribs. Leary flattens Burke out and gets a rear naked choke. Burke defends and Leary is on his back. Burke tries to postures up, but Leary has control of the head. Leary pushes him off and Burke lands a kick to Leary’s leg while he is down. Leary stands up and blocks a couple of rights on his way up and the round ends with both guys locked to the cage.

Round 2:
Burke wings a wild round house and misses a spinning back kick. Leary ties him up with a right underhook while Burke is going for a single leg. Leary i working the body. Burke gets the takedown. Leary is controlling the head and wall walking. Burke is keeping the pressure on. Burke has Lear against the cage and Leary tries to get up and Burke won’t let him up and dives back on avoiding up kicks. The bell rings.

Round 3:
They start swinging and they tie up. Leary teeps Burk in the face and then a right hand and then a leg trip, but Burke gets on top. He takes LEary’s back and gets a rear naked choke and Burke gets the tap.

Burke wins Via RNC Rd. 3 - :48


Pro 170 lbs. Championship Bout: Brandon Changnon (Sityodtong) vs. Jeremy Ross (Gladiator BJJ)

Round 1:
Changnon takes Ross down and is working in the guard he is landing elbow. Ross is trying to get up against the cage. He reverses, but Changnon get back on top in side control and puts on a guillotine. He gets the tap.

Ross wins via Guillotine - Rd. 1 - 1:20


Pro 155 lbs. Championship Bout: Tyson Chartier (Sityodtong) vs. Thane Stimson (Team Alpha Male)

Round 1:
Stimson moves in and Chartier evades. Chartier gets the takedown, and Stimson reverses. Stimson stands up and tries to strike and then gets back on top. Stimson has him in north south. He looks for the guillotine and he gets it, Chartier almost gets free. Stimson keeps it locked on and forces the tap.

Stimson wins via Guillotine - Rd. 1 - 2:45
