"Well considering you guys gave me one week to train. I obviously haven’t put no training into this fight but let me tell you something, I'm prepared. I've been prepared my entire career for this fight...experience and size. he's never fought anyone as big, as strong, or as good looking as i am, that's a fact... But i will tell you this much, if i drop him with a one, two, and he's laying on the ground, you can bet your ass… I'm gonna Hogan leg drop his ass. Because you know something, he should have listened to Hulk and stuck to pro wrestling."
-Wes Sims talks about his last minute fight with Bobby Lashley this Saturday at Strikeforce: Miami on Showtime. The full interview clip is below (App users video is available at MMATorch.com):
"I'm anxious to get out there and I'm anxious to fight and have my first fight with Strikeforce…You know, I was going to be happy regardless of what they brought to the table… This is my first fight with Strikeforce so I have to go out there and prove myself… [Wes Sims] is gonna have the experience being more matches, but I don't know if he's going to have much experience over me, because I've got 18 years of my martial art being wrestling, so I'm going to bring that to the table as well everything else I've learned."
-Bobby Lashley discusses the bout himself in the below video interview:
Penick's Analysis: This fight really is set up for Lashley to squash Sims, who obviously hasn't put in anything close to the time Lashley has. Sims is great for a quote, and the pro wrestling tie in works nicely in that sense, but he really shouldn't have much of a shot in this one. Lashley's wrestling is good and his ground and pound is getting better, and after another lengthy training camp, being that he hasn't fought since June, has in all likelihood improved his game even more. This one should be interesting, for sure, but there's not much more to it than that with Sims just getting the call for the fight this past week.

The headlining bout between Phil Davis and Rashad Evans averaged 6.1 million viewers, meaning the peak number for the event will still come in somewhat higher than that. The opening bout between Demian Maia and Chris Weidman was seen by an average of four million viewers...
I am very nervous that Carlos Condit will win on Saturday night, and that I won't be able to fight Nick Diaz this summer. Carlos Condit is a very good fighter, he can strike, he is aggressive and he has submissions...
Georges St-Pierre is the only logical choice for Sonnen, since he's made it clear to the world at large that Anderson Silva wants nothing to do with him. And since everything that comes out of Chael's mouth when hyping a fight can be taken as gospel...
