Bellator 134 comes to you live from Mohegan Sun Resort and Casino in Uncasville, CT. The main card features Light Heavyweight Champion Emamuel Newton will meet undefeated Liam McGeary. Also on the card is Paul Daley vs. Andre Santos, Cheick Kongo s. King Mo, and Sokoudjou vs. Linton Vassell.

Fight 1 - Welterweight: Brennan Ward vs. Curtis Millender

Round 1
Millender with a jab and food work. Ward stalks with a hook. Millender clips Ward with a right. Ward shoots and Millender stuffs. Ward with a left hook that misses. He lands one on the chin. Leg kick and Millender counters. Ward knocks him down and takes the back. He flattens Millender and goes for the rear naked choke. Millender taps.

Fight 2 - Light Heavyweight: Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou vs. Linton Vassell

Round 1
Vassell shoots on Sokoudjou, but he is right up. Sokoudjou takes him right back down. VAssell is on top with one hook in against the cage. Sokoudjou pops out the side. Baack down and Vassell is on top and in half guard. Sokoudjou is trying to hip out and get up. Vassell traps the arm and works elbows and forearms. He is not trying pass. Sokoudjou rocks for a sweep, and he does so slowly. Vassell instantly takes his back. Vassell keeps looking for the choke, but Sokoudjou is doing everything he can to not be flattened out. Vassel ends the round with both hooks in.

Round 2
They are trading shots and Vassell lands a left hand and then shoots. Sokoudjou stuffs, but ultimately gets taken down. He tries to get up, but Vassell holds him down at hte cage. Vassell is trying for te rear naked choke. He flattens out Sokoudjou and lands some stiff shots with Sokoudjou face down. Vassell keeps trying for the choke and then goes back to strikes. Sokoudjou covers up and the ref stops it.

Fight 3 - Welterweight: Paul Daley vs. André Santos

Round 1
Vith are rentative. Santos with an inside leg kick. Santos is staying behind the jab, but Saley gets to the body. Twice more to Santos' body. Santos with a flush right to DAley's face, but Daley catches it at the end. Santos is landing and ties him up against the cage. Daley switches. They break. Daley lands body shot and then clinches with knees and a left hook. They tie up and switch positions against the cage. The ref breaks them up. Daley goes in heavy, and santos counters. Daley turns it up and lands big shots. HE drops Santos and lands strikes on top. He gets up, and Daley is left and right on his jaw. He takes Santos down and is landing big shots from half guard. Santos tries to sweep and the bell rings.

Round 2
Daley missing a right hand. Santos is standing straight up leaving his chin accessible. Daley with a right hand. He takes Santos down and lands some big right hands. Daley grabs Santos' legs and dives in with a right hand. Santos /scrambles and Daley stays on him an takes his back while landing strikes. They tie up and Santos attempt a guillotine, but he does not get it. They are clinching again, and Santos gets him down and Daley is trying to wall walk, and he is up. Santos shoots immediately. Dalet defends and gets free. Santos with a left and goes in with a combo while DAley coves up. He shoots, and daley stuffs. Santo keeps grinding and finally gets him down. He starts to take the back and the bell rings.

Round 3
Daley opens up with a big knock down and swarms Santos. He is landing rapid fire shots from the top/ half guard. He is working strikes, but Santos gets up. Santos lands a left one standing up. A cut opens between Santo's eyes. He shoots and Daley sprawls. He lands a knee with nothing on it. Daley lands a knee that drops Santos. He passes guard by sliding both knees over. He lands shots, and then he stands up and dives in with a big right hand. He is on top landing large shots. He takes the back and lands shots. Santos gets back up! Santos with a right hand and they clench. He gets Daely down against the cage. Daley wall walks up. Santos with an inside trip, and he gets Daley down gets mount. He lands shots from the top and controls Daley during the closing seconds until the bell rings.

Daley defs. Santos via Unanimous Decision


Fight 4 - Heavyweight: Cheick Kongo vs. Muhammed Lawal

Round 1
Kongo has a low stance. He lands a jab. Mo blocks and moves his head from a right. Mo with a looping right that misses. He lands a left hook. He then lands a right one. Leaps in with a left hook that misses. He catches a kick from Kongo. Then he eats one. Kongo misses. Mo connects. Mo throws a right hand and then shoots. He takes Kongo down and is in his half guard. They scramble, and Mo takes his back. He lands knees as Kongo tries to stand up. Mo stays on his back. Kongo tries to land shots but Mo drags him down with a back body lock. No is in guard, and Kongo is controlling his head. Kongo is controls his legs, but Mo passes to half guard and the bell rings.

Round 2
They try to cut angles and Kongo shoots. Mo stuffs. Kongo with leg kick. Kongo slips. Mo clinches and Kongo with a knee. Mo drives in and takes Kongo down. Mo is now in side control and lands a shot to the body. Kongo gets to guard, and Mo drives in with his head. Kongo is landing some shots and tying Mo up. Mo is back in half guard and throw shots, but Kongo is tying him up again. Kongo scrambles and goes for s single leg. He starts landing knees. Mo defends the takedown. Kongo throws a handful of very shot knees and the bell rings.

Round 3
Kongo with a good left hand. Mo shoots, and Kongo stuffs. Mo with an inside trip and Kongo gets back up. They clinch and Kongo tries to take him down, and he sprawls and separates. Kongo with a leg kick, and then Mo shoots and takes Kongo down. Kongo gets up, but Mo takes him back down. (This is not the striking affair some might have expected.) Kongo keeps trying to get up, but Kongo is keeping him down. The ref stands them up and Kongo takes his time. Seconds left and neither engage. Kongo with a lazy spinning back fist and Mo dances away. The bell rings and Kongo sits down against the cage very fatigued.

King Mo defs. Kongo via Split Decision ... should have been unanimous.


Fight 5 - Light Heavyweight: Emanuel Newton vs. Liam McGeary

Round 1
McGeary is opening with kicks. Newton with inside leg kick and a punch. spinning back kick from Newton. McGeary with a kick to the body and Newton catches it. Newton works and gets the take down. He leaves himself in his guard while McGeary goes for a triangle and an armbar. Newton stands up and slams him. McGeary is going back and forth with triangles and armbars. McGeary with a modified kimura. He finally commits to an armbar and Newton is out. McGeary goes for a an inverted triangle. Newton escapes and stays in guard. Again, and he adds a keylock. McGeary lets goof that and Newton gets up and takes McGeary back. They scramble. Newton is in side control and in arm triangle position. McGeary looking for a triangle and kneebar sweep. Newton gets out and gets on top. The bel rings. Wow, Newton is Stretch Armstrong! McGeary was relentless with submission attempts.

Round 2
McGeary is in the second round for his first time in Bellator. They are sizing each other up. McGeary with a low kick, and Newton catches and takes him down. Newton stays in his guard and works. McGeary looks for submission, but Newton takes his back. He over commits and McGeary takes the back. McGeary ends up on his back and Newton tries to pass guard to side control, but McGeary closes guard. Newton tries fround and pound, ad stands up. He leaps back in to strike and McGeary goes for and armbar. McGeary lands elbows with Newton in a triangle/armbar until the bell rings.

Round 3
Both throw tentative strikes. Newton with a spinning back kick that lands. Newton with a side kick. A kick to the body. McGeary with a jab. A kick to the head, but Newton blocks. McGeary with a right hand. Newton kicks to the body, but McGeary tries to counter. McGeary lands a big left hand on the chin as Newton leaps in. Newton slips, and McGeary dives in and goes for a guillotine. Newton secapes ad gets top position. McGeary goes for an armbar. Newton escapes and gets side control. Newton is pressuring McGeary. Newton defends another inverted triangle attempt. McGeary takes his time, and McGeary gets a triangle and mount with it with ten seconds left in the round. McGeary rains down punches and the bell rings.

Round 4
McGeary with an inside leg kick. McGeary with a jab, and then an inside leg kick by Newton. Newton comes in, and McGeary with a short left hand. Body kick by newton and a jab by McGeary. Spinning back lands for Newton. McGeary pressures with kicks and Newton counters and almost slips. Spinning back fist misses McGeary by a couple inches. Newtown goes in and lands a hook, McGeary counters, Newton with a spinning back fist again, but it misses. McGeary with a superman punch that misses. Newton with a slam. He works in guard, and McGeary goes for a triangle. They work until the bell rings.

Round 5
They lock up and Newton lands te outside trip. He lands in McGeary's half guard. McGeary looks to cage walk, and tehen latches on a body triangle. He transitions to an armbar, and Newton slams his way out. Newton is in side control landing short elbows and short punches. McGeary breaks the record of submission attempts in a single Bellator bout. Newton stands up and dives in with a right hand that misses. McGeary closes guard. Newton throws elbows. McGeary goes for an armbar, and Newton slides out. McGeary with an omaplata and Newton slides out of that. Newton stays in and McGeary goes for a triangle. Newton slides out. A minute left and McGeary is still on his back. Newton passes to half guard and tries to get to side control. McGeary with an armbar and Newton gets out and gets side control. McGeary tries another triangle, and Newton gets out and keeps side control. The bell rings. What's crazier all those submission, or the fact McGeary didn't catch him with one.

McGeary defs. Newton via Unanimous Decision<
