After Josh Koscheck's move to Bellator was announced on Friday, the longtime UFC competitor said he was interested in a rematch with Paul Daley, whom he beat in 2010 in an infamous bout.
Koscheck made the callout using an image taken from that fight where he had Daley in a choke hold. Daley wasn't all that pleased with Koscheck's image choice, given that's not how that fight ended, and he responded in a post on Facebook:
He's started already. Like how he put this picture up. Didn't finish the choke though. Didn't mention the fake eye poke,...
Daley's first got a fight next month on Bellator 140, and a kickboxing match on the big three-tiered event on Sept. 19. There's no word on when Koscheck will make his debut.
Penick's Analysis: This is probably a fight that's going to happen within the next year, and though it may be an easy sell for them, it's long since past being a really interesting fight. I'm just not sure what appeal is left in a Josh Koscheck fight after the five fight losing streak he's been on, because he's taken significant damage and just hasn't looked anything like the fighter he was four to six years ago.
