Turns out Bellator is running two cards this February instead of the one previously announced. The organization revealed overnight that Alexander Shlemenko will meet Melvin Manhoef in the main event of Bellator 133 on Feb. 13.
That means the previously announced Feb. 27 event is Bellator 134, with the March event tentatively Bellator 135 pending any other events being added to the schedule.
Shlemenko returns to Bellator for the first time since losing his Middleweight Title to Brandon Halsey in September. That was his second straight loss, having lost to Tito Ortiz in May in a light heavyweight bout. This stretch is the first two fight losing streak Shlemenko has had since 2006.
The hard-hitting Manhoef made a successful Bellator debut in September, knocking out Doug Marshall. However, he was knocked out himself in brutal fashion in his last fight, getting taken out by kickboxer Joe Schilling at Bellator 131.
Bellator 133 will come to the SaveMart Center in Fresno, Calif., airing live on Spike TV.
