Bellator's season seven lightweight finals was supposed to take place late last year at Bellator 84, but then-20-year-old finalist Marcin Held was barred at the last minute from entering the casino where the event was set to take place. His bout with Dave Jansen was rescheduled for Bellator 92 next month, but now it's been delayed once more.
According to a report from MMAJunkie.com, Held has suffered a minor injury that will push their bout back a week to Bellator 93 on March 21.
It's just a slight delay, but it leaves Bellator 92 in need of a new main event as well, which Bellator officials have not yet set.
Held made his way to the finals through the tournament last fall with a decision win over Murad Machaev in the quarterfinals and an upset submission win over longtime vet Rich Clementi in the semis. Jansen submitted Magomed Saadulaev in the opening round and took a split-decision win over Ricardo Tirloni in the semis.
