Bellator is returning to Florida on March 28 with Bellator 94 on Spike TV, bringing two tournament finals bouts for season eight to The University of South Florida's Sun Dome in Tampa. The organization announced the event on Friday, and in addition to the finals of the season eight featherweight and lightweight finals, Florida's Jessica Aguilar will return to Bellator as well.
"Bellator is my home and I can't wait to get back into the cage in front of all my friends, family and fans and continue to show the world I'm the best female fighter on the planet," Aguilar said.
Her opponent should be determined in the coming weeks, and the finalists in the 145 lb. and 155 lb. fields will be determined in that time as well.
Remaining in the featherweight field are Popo Bezerra, Mike Richman, Marlon Sandro, and Frodo Khasbulaev, who advanced to the semifinals last week at Bellator 87. The lightweight quarterfinals took place the week before at Bellator 86, with David Rickels, Jason Fischer, Saad Awad, and Will Brooks all advancing.
"We had an outstanding night of fights in our first visit to The Sun Dome, and expect nothing less March 28th live on Spike," said Bellator Chairman & CEO Bjorn Rebney. "With two Tournament Final fights, as well as the return of Jessica Aguilar, our Florida faithful are in for a huge night of fights."
