Have no fear Strikeforce fans, Paul Daley will still fight Nick Diaz on April 9 on Showtime.

Daley's participation in the card briefly came into question when Dana White announced Zuffa's purchase of Strikeforce a week and a half ago. Daley's contentious relationship with the organization since his release last May has been well documented, and Daley went online after the sale was announced questioning whether he'd want to fight for Strikeforce under Zuffa's control.

However, according to a report from MMAFighting.com, Daley has signed his bout agreement and the bout will take place as scheduled. The confirmation on Daley signing comes from Diaz's manager Cesar Gracie, who says the Brit signed on for the fight on Tuesday.

The fight headlines Strikeforce's April 9 event from San Diego, Calif., and airs live on Showtime.

Penick's Analysis: I think everyone assumed Daley would go through with the fight. It would have been a ridiculously short-sighted move on his part to pull out of this fight, and just because Dana White has continued to say he'll "never" fight in the UFC again doesn't mean that will absolutely, positively always be the case. White has buried the hatchet with several fighters he's had issues with over the years, and Daley could potentially be another one, but pulling out of this fight would have been a bad move and would have killed those prospects.
