A middleweight bout between Tim Kennedy and Jason "Mayhem" Miller - originally reported to be coming to Strikeforce's March 5 event in Columbus - will no longer be taking place, according to a report from MMAJunkie.com.
What would have been a rubber match between the two fighters has now been scratched from the event altogether, and the fighters will now be put in other matchups, per the report. No reason was given for the bout being scratched, but the bout was also never signed.
The March 5 card features a headlining bout between Dan Henderson and Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante for the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Championship, and takes place from the Nationwide Arena in Strikeforce's first event in Ohio.
Penick's Analysis: Miller can't seem to get a fight finalized in Strikeforce right now. First it was the back and forth with Nick Diaz, then this fight was initially rumored for the San Jose card this month, and now the fight has fallen through again. This is disappointing news, as though it would have been the third fight between the two of them, it was still a good middleweight fight and a fun fight for this card.
