DREAM Welterweight Champion Marius Zaromskis hasn't had much success in North America thus far, succumbing to TKO losses at the hands of Nick Diaz and Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos. But he'll have a chance to turn that around later this month, as the organization announced on Thursday that he'll meet Wachiim Spiritwolf at Strikeforce Challengers 12.

Zaromskis made his Strikeforce debut in January, fresh off three straight head kick knockouts in DREAM, but he was overwhelmed by Nick Diaz in the first round of their Championship matchup at Strikeforce: Miami. He made his return in June, but Santos defeated him even quicker in their bout.

Now, he'll meet Spiritwolf, who is coming off a hard fought loss against Billy Evangelista at Strikeforce Challengers 11. Spiritwolf has also lost two straight coming into this fight.

Strikeforce Challengers 12 takes place Nov. 19 at the Jackson Convention Complex in Jackson, Miss. The event airs live on Showtime.

Penick's Analysis: Even on short notice, this is an excellent fight for a Challengers card. It's a definite step down in competition for Zaromskis, who still remains the DREAM Welterweight Champion, but after two straight losses he'll need to get back on track. Spiritwolf was extremely exciting against Evangelista but couldn't do enough to win the fight on the judges scorecards. This should be a good scrap and will be an entertaining fight for the Showtime event.
