With a deal to air live events on UFC Fight Pass in place, all-women's MMA organization Invicta Fighting Championships will return on Sept. 6 for Invicta FC 8.
The event, their first to air live on the UFC's digital platform, will take place from Kansas City, as their previous events have, and will feature an Atomweight Title fight between Michelle Waterson and Yasuko Tamada.
Additionally, the entire Invicta FC library is now officially available on UFC Fight Pass.
Invicta's last event came in December of last year, as they sought out a new broadcasting deal in the early part of this year.
Penick's Analysis: This deal will allow Invicta to stick around for awhile, and it provides a feeder league for the UFC as they develop fighters at 135 lbs. and 115 lbs., as fighters entering Invicta can get exposure before advancing to UFC events.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
