4/28 UPDATE

If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site today:

-In a massive and somewhat shocking response to Jon Jones' current legal troubles in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the UFC has stripped him of the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. Daniel Cormier will now step in to fight Anthony Johnson for that belt at UFC 187. Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for the latest on the Jones situation, including statements from the UFC, Daniel Cormier's response to the situation, a picture of Jones' wrecked vehicle, and much more.

-Prior to the UFC stripping Jones of the title, the crew discussed what they should do with him in a new roundtable. Excerpt from Rich Hansen on what he'd have done: “Most people are calling for Johnson to then fight Daniel Cormier. Despite DC coming off of a loss, it's possible that this generation's Chael Sonnen has enough credibility of a mouth to get a title shot coming off of a loss. Personally, I'd rematch Rumble with Alexander Gustafsson, leave Cormier vs. Ryan Bader untouched, and have the winners of those two fights main event UFC 191 on September 5. You know why? Because that's the pay-per-view immediately before my birthday, and it would please me to have a big fight card at that time. Do I care that this would be unfair to Anthony Johnson having to beat Gustafsson twice, or to Glover Teixeira losing the shot at Gustafsson? Nope. Not even a whit. I'm totally cool with that. All about me, remember?” Get the full roundtable on the mobile site.

-Judging by our morning poll, most fans are on board with the UFC's decision, as 70% of respondents to the poll said the UFC should strip Jones of that title.

-Also prior to the UFC's decision, Michael Bane broke down the whole situation with his perspective as an attorney in a new Legal Take column. Excerpt: “Jones' actions in this situation are both sad and reprehensible. If you've been in a car accident, you know you can take quite an impact and still emerge with only bumps and scratches. If you've hit someone hard enough to break their arm, you have just experienced a major impact. There's no way he didn't know that someone's life could have been endangered. While Jones obviously has a lot to lose as a professional athlete and celebrity, that pales in comparison to the potential death of an actual human being. Then he proceeded to run away from an injured woman, turn and come back for his precious cash, and then run away from her again. He never bothered to check to see if she was okay, his only concern being looking out for himself. Legal implication aside, this is a horribly selfish act, and Jones' lack of humanity and callousness to the well-being of another person is completely disgusting.” Head to the mobile site for his full column.

-In non-Jones news, Bellator's Featherweight Title fight at Bellator 138 in June has been changed, as an ACL injury to Georgi Karakhanyan brings Daniel Weichel into the fight against Patricio “Pitbull” Freire. More on the change on the mobile site.

-Finally today, the UFC women's strawweight division has a new addition, as former Invicta Atomweight Champ Michelle Waterson, otherwise known as “The Karate Hottie,” is jumping up in weight to join the UFC roster. More on the mobile site.

We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
