4/26 UPDATE

If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site today:

-What was supposed to be a day following up on UFC 186 turned into a developing story concerning the UFC 187 headliner. UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones is being sought for questioning by the Albuquerque police department regarding his possible involvement in a hit and run accident that happened Sunday morning. A pregnant woman in her 20s suffered minor injuries in the accident and was taken to the hospital. Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for the latest updates on that situation.

-In follow up from last night's pay-per-view event, Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson retained his UFC Flyweight Title with a submission win in the final second of the final round, the latest finish in UFC history. He also scored one of four $50,000 fight night bonuses for his efforts. Also, Rampage Jackson defeated Fabio Maldonado in the co-main event for his first UFC win in nearly four years, while Michael Bisping survived a knockdown in the first round to win a decision against C.B. Dollaway. Head to the mobile site for more on those fights along with the full event play by play.

-Dayne Fox gave his rapid fire reactions to the event overnight, while Dan Moore took a look ahead at the fights to make for each of the night's competitors. Excerpt from Fox on Johnson: “I still don't anticipate him getting the credit he deserves. The win serves as his sixth successful title defense and it's hard to see someone ending it anytime soon. My guess is he will face the winner of next month's John Dodson-Zach Makovsky fight next. He has already beaten Dodson once and while Dodson was his toughest fight, Johnson has improved since then while Dodson has battled multiple injuries.”

Excerpt from Moore on what should be next for the Champ: “I want to see him start a fight in the same vein he finished Horiguchi. It's the only way he's going to grow a fan base big enough to avoid criticism as a headliner. He's in the smallest division that also lacks legitimate opponents. He needs to do something. If John Dodson beats Zach Makovsky, the rematch will happen. And if it does, it's the perfect opportunity to vault Johnson into the kind of superstar status his talent richly deserves.”

Head to the mobile site now for both columns in full.

-The first reported figures for the UFC's Reebok apparel deal have been reported, with the bottom four tiers expected to make $20,000 or less per fight depending on their tenure in the organization. Get more on how the numbers are expected to break down, with further analysis on what will simply not be an equal amount of sponsorship money for many of the fighters with double digit fights in the organization.

-Rampage Jackson disparaged Bellator several times after his win over Maldonado, adding in the post-fight press conference that “Bellator can't f*** with the UFC.” See his further comments, with analysis on why that could backfire on him if litigation continues with his former employer, on the mobile site.

-Fans started leaving the arena before Johnson's victory on Saturday night, but Dana White shrugged it off afterward and said he didn't care about that while he was watching the fight. He also thinks that Johnson's time will come to get more respect and admiration from the fanbase. More of his comments with further thoughts on the mobile site now.

-In a couple of new fight bookings for UFC Fight Night 71 in San Diego, Al Iaquinta will take on Bobby Green, while Kevin Lee will face James Moontasri. Get more on both fights on the mobile site now.

We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
