3/3 NIGHT UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site today:
-Though the UFC has run in a couple of cities in Australia, they've yet to hit Melbourne in the country's state of Victoria due to regulations banning cages for MMA. However, that ban was lifted this week, and the UFC has already announced their Melbourne debut for November with UFC 193. Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for more including comments from UFC executive Tom Wright.
-Several more fights were announced today for upcoming UFC events. Derrick Lewis and Alan Jouban turn around quickly after UFC 184, taking on Shawn Jordan and Brian Ebersole in New Orleans at UFC Fight Night 68, respectively. Dong Hyun Kim gets back to action at UFC 187 when he faces Josh Burkman, and Australia's Kyle Noke heads back home in May to face Sweden's Andreas Stahl. Get more on each of those fights on the mobile site now.
-Speaking of the Australia card, headliner Mark Hunt discussed his fight with Stipe Miocic, and on top of expecting a knockout win, he thinks the fight will put him right back into the thick of things at the top of the heavyweight division. See what Hunt had to say with further analysis on the mobile site.
-Bellator's Middleweight Championship will be on the line in April, as they announced that Brandon Halsey will make his first title defense against Kendall Grove at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in California. More on that fight on the mobile site now.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
