...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
1/27 NIGHT UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site today:
-There are further updates to the UFC on Fox 14 numbers, as west coast viewership brought the overall average up to just over three million viewers, with the broadcast peaking at over 3.6 million viewers. Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for more on the fairly stellar numbers for the card from Sweden.
-Tito Ortiz responded this week to the callout from new Bellator signee Kimbo Slice, and says he has no interest in that matchup. He thinks it's beneath him, and he doesn't want to fight a “street fighter.” Instead, he's expecting a fight with the winner of Emanuel Newton vs. Liam McGeary for the organization's Light Heavyweight Title. More from Ortiz with further thoughts on the mobile site.
-In a couple of new bookings for the UFC today, TUF winner Julianna Pena will return from injury to meet Milana Dudieva at UFC Fight Night 63, while another TUF winner in Corey Anderson will face Gian Villante at UFC on Fox 15. Get more on both fights on the mobile site now.
-I recorded a brand new audio update tonight, spending 45 minutes on the UFC's January numbers, last weekend's UFC on Fox 14 event, this weekend's UFC 183 card, and more. Listen in to the latest audio on the mobile site now.
-Former WEC Champ Brian Bowles has taken a bad turn in his life post-fighting, as he's spent the last two weeks in jail on a litany of drug charges in Georgia. Get more details on his arrest with further analysis on the mobile site.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we61 have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
