1/26 AFTERNOON UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this afternoon:
-Anthony Johnson believed into UFC on Fox 14 that he was going to beat Alexander Gustafsson, but with the way that it happened, and the reality of pulling it off, he said he was just speechless after the event. Now, looking ahead to Jon Jones, he wants to deliver a beating “ten times worse” to Jones than what he thought Gustafsson gave the champ at UFC 165. Head to our mobile site now at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for further comments from Johnson with additional analysis.
-Anderson Silva is all about supporting his fellow Brazilian fighters, so it's no surprise that he's pulling for Featherweight Champ Jose Aldo against Conor McGregor later this year. In fact, Silva said he hopes Aldo hits McGregor “a lot” in their matchup when the fight finally happens. Get more from Silva on that potential fight with further analysis on the mobile site now.
-Akira Corassani suffered his third straight stoppage loss on Saturday at UFC on Fox 14 in his home country, and after the event he essentially announced his retirement. Head to the mobile site to see his comments on walking away with further thoughts on that decision.
-There's been another injury change to next month's UFC Fight Night 60 event in Broomfield, Colo., as an injury to Jake Lindsey has opened the door to newcomer Cody Pfister, who now steps in against James Moontasri. More on that fight on the mobile site.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we61 have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
