...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
12/22 MORNING UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this morning:
-Dan Moore's back in the matchmaker's chair today, breaking down his top fights to make for the movers and shakers from UFC Fight Night 58 this past weekend. Excerpt on Lyoto Machida: “Did anyone foresee the result of that fight differently? No? Me neither. Machida is so slick, and his movement is probably the best in MMA, bar one or two. That body kick was brutal, and every punch that came after it was another nail in the coffin for the demoralised Dollaway. Machida vs. Rockhold makes perfect sense to me (and pretty much everyone else in MMA); especially now that Machida should be good to go early next year. Hard to deny the winner of this one a title shot later in 2015.” Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for his full column, featuring suggested next moves for each fighter on the card.
-Renan Barao admits he froze up a little bit in the second round of his fight with Mitch Gagnon on Saturday night, but all in all he was pleased with his performance, and thought it was a great fight. Further, he continues to vow to bring back the Bantamweight Title to Brazil. Catch his post-fight comments with further analysis on the mobile site now.
-Jon Jones knows he's up against an excellent wrestler in Daniel Cormier at UFC 182, but he says he's planning to wrestle Cormier anyway. Jones says he wants to attack Cormier at his strengths and his weaknesses in the fight. Head to the mobile site for some comments from Jones on that strategy, with further analysis on why that's been something he's done time and again in his fights.
-In our morning poll, we asked readers whether or not Renan Barao should be immediately next in line for a shot at the winner of the T.J. Dillashaw-Dominick Cruz title fight in 2015. By a three to one margin, the votes are in that he should not be in line right away, and needs at least one more win before getting another title fight. Get your votes in now!
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
