-In a new roundtable today, the crew discussed the Featherweight Title situation, whether Frankie Edgar's done enough to deserve a rematch with Jose Aldo, and/or whether or not he's just opened the door to a Conor McGregor title fight with his win over Cub Swanson. Excerpt from Rich Hansen: “I'm giving Conor McGregor the shot against Jose Aldo, and I'm booking Frankie Edgar vs. Urijah Faber as the main event on UFC on Fox 15 in April. And I'm giving the winner of that fight a title shot at the weight of their choosing, 145 lbs or 135 lbs.” Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for the full roundtable.
-The UFC has booked a featherweight matchup between Nik Lentz and Thiago Tavares for UFC Fight Night 60 in February, a rematch of a fight which will be over five years old by that point. The first bout ended in a draw all the way back at UFC Fight Night 20 in the UFC's lightweight division. More on both fighters and that fight on the mobile site now.
-Frankie Edgar and Cub Swanson helped boost UFC Fight Night 57 to fairly solid ratings on Fox Sports 1, drawing just over 900,000 viewers on average for the broadcast, with a peak of over a million during the main event. That despite competition from boxing's Manny Pacquiao on pay-per-view, along with several highly drawing college football games. More on the numbers with further thoughts on the mobile site.
