9/29 AFTERNOON UPDATE

If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this afternoon:

-Conor McGregor says he suffered torn ligaments in his thumb just four weeks out from UFC 178, and briefly considered pulling out of the fight before deciding to go ahead. Head to the mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for his comments on why he fought through the injury, and thoughts on why it's not always necessarily the admirable thing for a fighter to do.

-Tim Kennedy and Cat Zingano were among four fighters who may be out up to six months due to injuries suffered at UFC 178 last weekend. Head to the mobile site for the full list of medical suspensions.

-UFC President Dana White has admitted some culpability from the UFC in the controversy surrounding the Kennedy-Yoel Romero fight at UFC 178, saying that a lot of the confusion happened because of their cut man. Catch White's comments with further analysis on the mobile site now.

-Miesha Tate still wants a rematch with Cat Zingano, but understands Zingano's got a fight with Ronda Rousey still to come. On that front, Tate thinks Zingano will fall short against the Champ, whom she called a “fight-finishing machine.” Catch Tate's reasoning for that pick with further comments on the mobile site.

-Dominick Cruz took a few potshots at Urijah Faber after his UFC 178 win on Saturday, but admits he doesn't have any personal issues with Faber's teammate – and his next opponent – UFC Champ T.J. Dillashaw. Cruz's comments with further thoughts on the mobile site.

-Dennis Siver has another new opponent for UFC Fight Night 53, as the Swedish governing body overseeing the event wouldn't allow the UFC's proposed matchup between Siver and France's Tony Lapilus. See their reasoning for the denial with further thoughts on the switch on the mobile site.

We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
