...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
9/22 MORNING UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this morning:
-Cris Cyborg's bantamweight debut is officially coming to Invicta FC 10 on Dec. 5, though an opponent has not yet been announced. Additionally, Invicta will have another event prior to that, as Invicta FC 9 hits UFC Fight Pass on Nov. 1 from Davenport, Iowa. That card will be headlined by a Flyweight Championship between Barb Honchak and Takayo Hashi. Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for more on those events.
-With Eddie Alvarez making his UFC debut on Saturday at UFC 178, Spike TV is counter-programming by showing both of his epic fights with Michael Chandler in Bellator. Analysis on that move, which both does and doesn't make sense, on the mobile site.
-With Sara McMann respectfully calling her out after UFC Fight Night 52, Miesha Tate has made it clear she's open to that fight “any time, any place.” More on that bout with additional thoughts on the mobile site.
-Glover Teixeira fights Phil Davis next month at UFC 179 in his first bout since losing to Jon Jones in April, and he's planning on putting together a performance so dominant he either stops the fight or makes it so even Davis' father wouldn't give him a decision as a judge. See Teixeira's comments with further analysis on the mobile site.
-In our reader poll this morning, we asked whether they believed Mark Hunt will be fighting for the UFC Heavyweight Championship in the next 18-24 months. 44% think it's possible given the state of the division, 27% think he'll get there after one more win, and 29% think he'll lose before getting there.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
