Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. -The middleweight bout between Lyoto Machida and C.B. Dollaway is set for the UFC Fight Night event in Barueri, Brazil, on Dec. 20, as the UFC officially announced the fight today. Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for more on that matchup.
-A new roundtable today features the crew discussing Andrei Arlovski's status in the heavyweight division, and whether it's realistic that he might fight for a UFC title again before his career is over. Excerpt from Dan Moore: “After the impressive win last weekend, Andrei Arlovski now has as good a chance as anyone in the heavyweight division to get into title contention. Fabricio Werdum and Junior dos Santos are clearly the two best contenders in the division, but one has already lost twice to Cain Velasquez, and the other will probably experience the same fate in November. After those two, there's a whole host of contenders who need to make the most of this opportunity now.” The full roundtable is on the mobile site now.
-A heavyweight bout between Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic, originally scheduled for May of this year, is now being targeted for the UFC on Fox 13 card this December. Head to the mobile site for more information on both fighters.
-UFC Champ Jon Jones and challenger Daniel Cormier may be hit with some significant fines next week, as the Nevada Athletic Commission will determine what discipline will be levied for the brawl the two had in Las Vegas last month at the UFC 178 media day. -Raphael Assunacao accepted a fight with Bryan Caraway for UFC Fight Night 54 next month, but he says he's not taking another fight after that unless it's for the title against T.J. Dillashaw. Catch his argument with further thoughts on the mobile site now.
