...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
9/14 MORNING UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this morning:
-Dan Moore broke down his top fights to make after last night's UFC Fight Night 51 event, playing matchmaker for the top wins and losers from the card. Excerpt: “That was the Andrei Arlovski we expected to see in his last fight against Brendan Schaub. He struggled in that close win back in June but there is no doubting his credentials after this win. Vintage stuff from Arlovski, and he can expect a similar bump up the rankings to what Ben Rothwell got after his win last weekend.” Head to our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for his full rundown.
-Andrei Arlovski, Gleison Tibau, Piotr Hallmann, and Godofredo Pepey each earned $50,000 bonuses for their efforts on Saturday at UFC Fight Night 51. Head to the mobile site for more details on how each of them secured their bonuses.
-UFC Women's Champ Ronda Rousey plans to defend her title at UFC 182 in January against Cat Zingano, but she's already looking past that a bit, as she told media in Brazil on Saturday that she wants a fight with Bethe Correia in Brazil later next year. Check out her comments with further analysis on the mobile site.
-Given Andrei Arlovski's dominant win over Bigfoot Silva on Saturday, we asked readers in our morning poll today if they believe Arlovski will fight for the UFC title again before his career is over. 59% think it's entirely possible given the state of the heavyweight division, only 12% think it's absolutely going to happen, and the remaining 29% think he'll lose along the way.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
