FRIDAY 8/29 MORNING UPDATE

If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this morning:

-Despite reports this week that the UFC was looking at Luke Rockhold vs. Michael Bisping given their trash talk, Dana White says that's not the case, and that they're still targeting Rockhold vs. Lyoto Machida for Brazil. See White's comments on the potential of Bisping-Rockhold with further analysis on the move on our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser.

-The UFC is making a serious effort to implement year-round random drug testing for their roster, as it was revealed this week that they're in talks with several third party organizations to get a plan in place. Head to the mobile side to see comments from UFC VP of Regulatory Affairs Marc Ratner on their plans with further analysis.

-Our new roundtable today has the crew predicting tomorrow's UFC 177 main event between T.J. Dillashaw and Renan Barao. Excerpt from Dan Moore: “Before their fight, Barao was a consensus top five pound-for-pound champion. Now he finds himself in the position of underdog fighting against the champion in his hometown. If he is going to win his title back, he's got to do it the hard way. Dillashaw fought the perfect fight last time, and he's going to be even mor e determined to impress again in front of his friends and family. That also adds a lot of pressure and no one knows yet if he can handle it. Winning a title is one thing, defending it as a champion is another.” Full roundtable on the mobile site.

-There's been another late change to UFC Fight Night 50 next week, as an injury to Dustin Kimura has brought in newcomer Tateki Matsuda to fight Chris Beal on the card. More on the switch on the mobile site.

-Our morning poll today asked readers for their predictions on the Dillashaw-Barao rematch. 60% believe Dillashaw is going to retain the title, with half of those in his favor picking him to win by TKO again. 29% believe Barao is going to score the stoppage win to regain the belt.

We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
