...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
TUESDAY 8/26 MORNING UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this morning:
-UFC President Dana White overstepped his bounds on Saturday in Macau, removing judge Howard Hughes after two questionable scorecards early in the event. The UFC on Tuesday released a statement saying that White's actions represented a breach of their policy on events they themselves regulate, and they apologized to Hughes, while promising not to allow it to happen again. Of course, while it was wrong to remove him mid-event, holding judges accountable for their scores is a necessity that just doesn't happen in the sport at this point. See the UFC's statement with further analysis on our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser.
-”The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung has suffered another injury to his shoulder, taking him out of a planned return bout with Akira Corassani at UFC Fight Night 53 in October. More info with further thoughts on the latest injury on the mobile site now.
-Tyron Woodley is looking ahead after his TKO win over Dong Hyun Kim last weekend, and he'd like a fight with Matt Brown next. See his comments on that potential fight with further thoughts on that idea on the mobile site.
-In our morning poll, we asked readers whether or not Jacare Souza will be the next title challenger with a win over Gegard Mousasi next week. At this point, most expect that to be the case, with 66% thinking he'd be the most deserving contender.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
