FRIDAY 8/22 NIGHTTIME UPDATE

If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site tonight:

-We've got a new roundtable today with predictions on the UFC Fight Night 49 main event between Benson Henderson and Rafael dos Anjos. Excerpt from Frank Hyden: “I think Henderson wins by decision. I don't have high expectations for this fight because I think Henderson will control things, and that's usually a recipe for dullness. I think Henderson will need two more wins after this one in order to get another title shot. That's a combination of a bunch of guys near the top of the division having better cases, but also the fact that he's lost to UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis twice already. Of course, if Pettis loses that changes things, but I think he'll still need two more wins after this fight to get a shot.” Full roundtable on our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser.

-Former Bellator Champ Daniel Straus is back into action on Oct. 3, as he'll take on Justin Wilcox in the main event of Bellator 127. Also on that card, former Champ Christian M'Pumbu drops to middleweight to take on Kendall Grove. More on that card on the mobile site now.

-Luke Rockhold levied further shots at Michael Bisping this week, daring the Brit to accept a bet should the two ever fight, as he feels he'd stop Bisping in the first round. See more of his comments with additional thoughts on our mobile site now.

-Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira says he has two fights left on his UFC deal, and he plans to retire after finishing out that contract in 2015. See his reasoning behind that with further thoughts on his situation on our mobile site.

-A bantamweight shakeup has hit UFC Fight Night 50 at Foxwoods on Sept. 5, as Dustin Kimura and Chris Beal will now square off after their respective opponents each pulled out with injury. More on that change to the card on the mobile site.

We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
