TUESDAY 8/19 MORNING UPDATE

If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this morning:

-Bellator President Scott Coker this week discussed some changes coming to the organization in 2015. While they're going with weekly events through the rest of this year, they're shifting to a less frequent schedule in 2015. They'll be running just 16 events next year, with their goal to build up each card and make them all bigger and better. More of his comments with additional thoughts on our mobile site now at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser.

-Anthony “Rumble” Johnson wants to fight Ryan Bader this fall, then move on to fight Alexander Gustafsson the weekend of Jon Jones-Daniel Cormier in January. It may not be something that can come together, but that's what's in his head right now. See his reasoning behind wanting the Bader fight with some additional thoughts on the mobile site now.

-20-year-old Paige VanZant may not be making her UFC debut in October anymore, as she revealed this week that she hasn't been cleared to train from a spinal injury, which is also why she hasn't been at Team Alpha Male in Sacramento. More from VanZant on her current predicament on the mobile site.

-UFC President Dana White this weekend commented on the leaked verbal exchange between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier, and said that even worse was said between the two that didn't wind up getting leaked. See further comments and some additional thoughts on the delay to the Jones-Cormier fight on the mobile site.

-In our morning poll today, we asked readers if they are going to be watching both UFC events of Saturday's double header. Of the votes in thus far, 62% are only watching the Tulsa card, but 33% say they'll be watching all the fights.

We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
