...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
MONDAY 7/28 MORNING UPDATE
If you're tuning in to the App for the first time in a while, make sure to check out the big update on the App's home page for notes and information on the changes made to the new mobile site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser. Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Here's what's on the site this morning:
-During Saturday's main event at UFC on Fox 12, Matt Brown took a kick around the belt line that may have hit the top of his cup. It still appeared to be a legal blow, but he was given a moment to recover, and some online accused him of faking a low blow to recover from a body kick. Brown lashed out at that notion, saying he'd never do something like that and writing the idea off completely. Head to the main listing of our mobile site at MMATorch.com in your phone or tablet browser for his comments and added thoughts on the situation.
-In other UFC on Fox 12 follow-up, featherweight Dennis Bermudez is looking to get into the title picture after a submission win over Clay Guida. After all, it was his seventh win in a row in that division. UFC President Dana White was impressed with him as well, so he could move up in his next fight. Comments from both with more thoughts on his status in the division now on the mobile site.
-Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior dos Santos is on his way back to the cage this fall, and while he's been called out by both Alistair Overeem and Josh Barnett, he says he's not interested in either of those matchups. Instead, he's looking to get another booking with Stipe Miocic after his injury canceled that fight in May. See his comments with further analysis on the mobile site now.
-In our morning poll, we asked readers who Anthony “Rumble” Johnson should fight next after his destruction of Antonio Rogerio Nogueira on Saturday night. 47% think Glover Teixeira's the name to go with, 25% think Alexander Gustafsson's the right opponent. Another 18% think he should fight his teammate Rashad Evans, and the final 10% think he should fight the winner of Ryan Bader vs. Ovince St. Preux.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
