...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
THURSDAY 4/24 NIGHTTIME NEWS UPDATE
-We've been hard at work on the improvements for the new mobile version of the site this week, which is available at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser, and we've taken your feedback to heart in order to bring you the best product we can. For any iPhone users still experiencing issues with Safari, we have a few quick tips to get it to our new version to get up to speed with iPads, Android phones, and Android tablets! Clear Safari of cookies and cache, restart the phone, then make a new home screen button for the main listing, and all should be well!
Our tech team has been working on even more tweaks based on your feedback, and have optimized the site for Safari and the default Android browser. They're continuing to work on the same for both Chrome and Opera as well. Keep sending your thoughts in to mmatorch@gmail.com so we can make the mobile site the best experience for you! We truly appreciate the feedback, and we're making changes as necessary. Onto the news from tonight!
-Contributor Kale Havervold put together his main event breakdown for UFC 172, taking a point by point look at the Jon Jones vs. Glover Teixeira fight. He ultimately settled on the upset prediction, taking Teixeira by second round TKO. See how he got to that pick in the full piece at the main site!
-In an odd signing, the UFC is bringing back former Heavyweight Champion Andrei Arlovski after more than six years outside of the organization. He's reportedly being targeted for a fight with Brendan Schaub at UFC 174 in June. I'm really not sure why the move was made, but what's done is done and it's looking like it's a reality. Further thoughts and a rundown of his post-UFC run at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser.
-Chris Camozzi's gotten a new booking after an illness to Andrew Craig scrapped his UFC Fight Night 39 bout in Abu Dhabi. He'll now take on Bruno Santos at UFC 175 in Las Vegas. More on both in the main listing now.
-To close out the night, Hector Lombard thinks Nick Diaz is running from him, and while he'd like a fight with Patrick Cote, that appears to be an unrealistic option as well. Head to the main listing for more!
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we continue making improvements on the new mobile site. We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
