...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
TUESDAY 4/22 NIGHTTIME NEWS UPDATE
-Time to close out our updates for this evening! Here's what we've had on the main listing tonight on the new mobile-version of the site at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser, which has been specially designed for iPhones, iPads, Android phones, and Android tablets! You can easily bookmark the site for quick access from your phone or tablet home screen! We're still taking your feedback and tweaking the experience as issues are presented, so keep letting us know how the new mobile experience is working for you!
-Longtime MMA vet Ben Saunders, who fought seven times in the UFC and ten times in Bellator, has a new fighting home in Titan Fighting Championships. His signing was announced on Tuesday, with his debut expected to come at Titan FC 29 in May or June on CBS Sports Network. Further thoughts and reaction in the main listing at MMATorch.com in your mobile browser.
-Another former UFC vet is in the news tonight, as current World Series of Fighting welterweight Gerald Harris has announced his retirement eight months after his most recent appearance, a win over Jorge Santiago at WSOF 4 last August. He went 5-2 to close out his career after an untimely UFC release in 2010. Comments from Harris and my added thoughts in the main listing now.
-Wanderlei Silva posted some comments to Instagram this week trying to rally support into his fight with Chael Sonnen, calling his “TUF: Brazil 3” foe a “racist.” Technically he's a xenophobe, but regardless, neither of them is all that sympathetic into UFC 175 this July. Silva's comments and further response in the main listing now.
-Finally, head to the full mobile site in your mobile browser at MMATorch.com for a quick video of Anderson Silva doing a footwork drill, showing off his remarkable recovery not even four months after breaking his leg at UFC 168.
We thank all of our readers for their feedback and patience as we work through the brand new mobile site launch! We're an independent voice in the MMA space with no corporate backing, and as such we stay afloat on ad revenue. This shift to the full listing on mobile web brings us a better chance to keep ourselves going and to bring our readers everything we have for the last five years and more, as the mobile advertising market is simply stronger than that on the app. Continue sending us your feedback to mmatorch@gmail.com and let us know how the new features with the Disqus comments section and more are working for you on mobile web!
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
