How much of a chance to you give Keith Jardine on a week's notice against Gegard Mousasi?
ALVIN CARTER, MMATORCH SPECIALIST
This is Mousasi's fight. Jardine has some big upsets on his resume, but I do not see an area of his fight game that he outshines Mousasi's. If Jardine can get this win, he will be closer to the UFC... Well technically I think he is back based on last month's acquisition.
RICH HANSEN, MMATORCH COLUMNIST
Um, what's 42 times less than 0%. Oh, I know the answer to this one. 0%.
ERIC HOBAUGH, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR
As sad as I am that Keith Jardine's career is over, I am convinced he should not fight again. He has a punchers chance and that is all. He looses again by KO in the first or second round.
FRANK HYDEN, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR
Well, there's always a chance. However, I would think I'm being generous by giving Jardine a 10% chance of winning in this fight. Jardine has really hit the skids so I don't think he has much chance.
GRIFFIN MARSH, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR
About the same chance I stand of pounding Alistair Overeem...
MIKE BACIOR, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR
Not too good of one. Ever since Mousasi got held down by Muhammed Lawal for five rounds, everyone has forgotten how talented he really is. Mousasi by stoppage within two rounds.
ALEX WILLIAMS, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR
Keith Jardine, with adequate time to prepare, lost last year to Trevor Prangley. That result doesn't suggest that the 35-year old Jardine has much of a chance against Gegard Mousasi.
MATT PELKEY, MMATORCH COLUMNIST
It's not a great chance, as Mousasi is still an extremely dangerous and talented striker in the light heavyweight division, but he's got more of a chance than a lot are projecting. His "unorthodox" (see: awkward) striking game allows him to connect and stifle some opponents, but he leaves himself open in his defense quite a bit and that can't happen against Mousasi if he's going to win. He has a chance to pull off the upset, it's just not a likely outcome when taking this fight on a week's notice.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
