If Gina Carano does not come into the UFC, who would you be most interested in seeing against Ronda Rousey when she returns and why?
DAN MOORE, MMATORCH UK COLUMNIST
I'm probably one of very few who has zero interest in seeing Gina Carano fight in the UFC, especially if her first fight back is for the title. I know there are very few (if any) marketable challengers left for Ronda Rousey but it's been years since Carano last fought. She's out of her depth. That aside, I think it's all a publicity stunt anyway. Surely she's making enough money from her appearances in straight to DVD movies (Fast & Furious aside) to not have to worry about fighting again to make an honest living.
If Cat Zingano wins impressively against Amanda Nunes at UFC 178, she's clearly the next in line. Her win over Miesha Tate was very entertaining, and after her recent troubles, most will take to her as a fan favourite over Rousey. If that doesn't go to plan, the UFC are screwed, and they'll need to call up Holly Holm quicker than they probably wanted. If not, they'll need to rehash another rematch fight with Miesha Tate or Sara McMann, and nobody wants to see that happen.

I think Cat Zingano should get the call. I think she's pretty deserving. There are a lot of fighters all bunched up close in the division, though. To be honest, I don't think anyone is going to beat Rousey anytime soon. I think she and Jon Jones are in that same boat where they're just better than everyone else, and it would be a major upset if either loses anytime soon.

The fight that needs to happen in that division is Ronda Rousey vs. Cyborg. No other potential fight excites me nearly as much as that one does. If she doesn't get signed by the UFC at some point, I would like to see Cat Zingano get her shot.
BRAD WALKER, MMATORCH COLUMNIST
I have two answers to this question and they are Sara McMann and Cat Zingano. I have less than zero interest in seeing Gina Carano attempt a new weight class or fight again at all .... Ever. Sure she's the original woman who made the sport unisex, but she's been out of the cage for longer than I can remember, and I don't know that I truly care to see her back in it. She's Hollywood now, and we all know returns after a long period of time generally don't go well. When's the last time she trained? When's the last time she did strength and conditioning? When's the last time she sparred? There's too many reasons not to drop her into a title shot, it's a horrible idea.

If Gina doesn't sign for the UFC there aren't many options left for the UFC. Most likely, and what would makes sense, is Cat Zingano if she came up victorious in her upcoming fight against Amanda Nunes. It will be a fresh opponent for Ronda, and a very sellable fight. Still, we all know the outcome before the fight!
We all know there's only one fight out there the UFC have to make, and it's Cris Cyborg. It's a true 'Super' fight, and one that would test Ronda like she's never been tested before. That said, will the UFC want to risk their prized asset?
Failing all of the above, I wouldn't mind seeing Ronda vs Tate III. I just loved the first two fights, and with the lack of depth in the division I'm sure this fight will come about once again.
RICH HANSEN, MMATORCH COLUMNIST
Whomever the UFC puts in the cage with Rousey is a human MacGuffin; don't you know that by now? The enjoyment in a Rousey fight isn't the suspense of IF she will win; it's the suspense of HOW she will win. There's no one in her division who can touch her (literally in some cases), so I can't say it matters who's in there with her.
