Who wins the Ryan Bader vs. Ovince St. Preux main event at UFC Fight Night 47, and how?

DAN MOORE, MMATORCH UK COLUMNIST

This is a tricky one to predict because they both measure up evenly. In the stand-up, Ryan Bader has the better striking defence, but with better accuracy and a five inch reach advantage, St. Preux should theoretically have the edge. Both have solid takedown defence, so it's unlikely this fight will go to the ground much, especially as both are very capable of nullifying the other.

Bader has the experience of headlining a fight card before, and he's also fought far bigger names and better opponents. OSP has put together a very good win streak recently; but despite victories over the likes of Ryan Jimmo and Nikita Krylov, it doesn't contain a signature win like Bader has over Quinton Jackson. I can see this one going the distance with Bader winning at least three, probably four of the rounds to take victory.

RICH HANSEN, MMATORCH COLUMNIST

I think Bader's going to plant OSP half a dozen times en route to a lame 30-27 Unanimous Decision victory. Very similar to the Rampage fight he had in Japan. OSP is certainly active and athletic enough to prove me wrong, but you asked, and I answered.

FRANK HYDEN, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

I'm going with St. Preux by TKO in the second round. Bader has a tendency at times to get sloppy, and I think OSP makes him pay. It's possible that OSP could also win by submission, though. I think this should be a pretty good fight; not the best fight on the card, but a good one nonetheless.

KALE HAVERVOLD, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

I think OSP gets it done, as I don't see Bader as much more than a gatekeeper to the top five at this point in his career. I think OSP grinds him out for a decision victory.

BRAD WALKER, MMATORCH COLUMNIST

Ovince ..... I am your father... Will be the final phrasing of this card. Ryan "Darth" Bader will win in impressive fashion to end this awful card and keep his spot among the semi-elite.

TOM STRONG, MMATORCH UK CONTRIBUTOR

I know this is the main event of the evening, but it's probably the only fight that doesn't excite me one little bit. The only times I've enjoyed watching Bader fight is when he's lost. OSP's not much better at this point. I know he's on a five fight winning streak, finishing his last four opponents and looked pretty decent in doing so, but he's another one I struggle to watch.

I hope I'm proven wrong on Saturday night and this fight is a barn stormer, but I very much doubt it. Bader will try and grind out a win, but I think Bader will be in trouble when OSP lands any kind of punch. Forget fight of the night, this has stinker of the night written all over it.

Prediction: Ovince St. Preux TKO Rd 2.
