Does the current back and forth between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier feel natural to the point it boosts the feud into their UFC 178 matchup, or does it come off as another contrived series of trash talking? Explain.

TOM STRONG, MMATORCH UK CONTRIBUTOR

Is it possible for Daniel Cormier to trash talk anyone and mean it? The same applies for Jon Jones. It's all very contrived to me and you know it's nothing more than to hype a fight.
Lets see the talking done inside the Octagon, and save the trash talking to the people who do it best, as these two fighters wouldn't be ranked in the top 100 of trash talkers!

These two have nothing against each other, there will be hugs and kisses once Jones has handed Cormier a can of whoop ass.

FRANK HYDEN, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

I do think it's natural to a point, though Cormier comes off as forced and trying too hard at times. However, this doesn't boost the feud to me because it's already pretty high on my hype list. It won't reach the top of my hype meter because I fully expect Jones to win, and I definitely don't think that Cormier is the toughest challenge Jones has ever faced. I think Cormier is trying to gin things up with some trash talk, and that's fine. I know both guys respect each other. They may not like the other, but the respect is there. I think they dislike each other to a point, but it's not true animosity. I think Jones feels he's not getting the respect he deserves, which he's not, and he plans on making a big statement against Cormier. I think Cormier is trying to hype the fight up, but it's not a natural fit for him. I think he's more the type to let his actions speak for him; when he talks trash, it doesn't feel natural.

BRAD WALKER, MMATORCH COLUMNIST

Cormier can beat Jon Jones. Soak that one in for a moment, breathe slowly, and remember what he's done to much bigger men with much more strength; and he's made it look exceptionally easy. They should be talking trash, this may be the single greatest fight the light heavyweight division has ever seen in terms of champion vs an epic threat. Talk away boys, I'm not listening, but I'm going to be watching.

KALE HAVERVOLD, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

It doesn't add much, but that is probably because I am already so excited for this matchup. It does feel natural though, but in my eyes, it doesn't add much to the fight. I doubt it is false, manufactured trash talk as I get the sense that Cormier really does not like Jones and wants nothing more than to take that belt.

RICH HANSEN, MMATORCH COLUMNIST

It feels 100% organic and natural, in the way that two little girls arguing over crayons feels natural to a fourth grade teacher. No disrespect, but I don't think I need to explain further.
