What could the UFC realistically put together for the UFC on Fox Sports 1 debut in Boston to make it the "best television card they've ever done"?
RICH HANSEN, MMATORCH COLUMNIST
If Stale Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva is the main event, there's nothing that can be done to make this the "best television card they've ever done." If it's the co-main underneath a title fight, even a Benson Henderson title fight, with, say, Cormier vs. Nelson and Matt Brown vs. Thiago Alves, then yeah, that's about as good as we've seen on TV.

A "superfight." With all the expectations a debut will bring, the bar has been set high enough to where the UFC should provide a marquee match-up between two champions that will eventually lead to a rematch on PPV. Now being that this won't happen I think realistically maybe two title fights featuring two of the lesser drawing weight classes, or a fight showcasing Ronda Rousey.

Put a PPV fight on there. That's about it for the fight card. As for the enjoyment factor, limit the numbers of times they reference the Boston Marathon bombings. Lay off the schmaltzy and heavy-handed video and pictures that always smack of exploitation. Yes, it's tragic that people died, but people die every single day in tragic ways. Just because it happened here in the United States doesn't make it any more important than the horrible atrocities commited in places like Syria, Afghanistan, and many other places every single day. Quite frankly, I watch sports to get away from this stuff, not to have it shoved in my face every time I turn around. I know that sounds harsh, but I just want some escapism.

Two title fights on the card would be pretty eventful. Maybe a catchweight super fight would help as well. The truth is fights are unpredictable and you never know what your going to get. It could be a ppv card that doesn't deliver (see UFC 159) or a free card with great finishes (see UFC 95).
BRAD WALKER, MMATORCH COLUMNIST
They need to make UFC 100 look like crap. They need a superfight backed by two title fights and an undercard that looks like the main card of any other UFC on Fox offering. That being said, it won't happen. The live gate and ad revenue won't cover that kind of expense, and there being no PPV income means no superfights. So, unless they throw making money out the window, it wont happen.
ERIC HOBAUGH, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR
They need one or two title fights if they are going to live up to that huge statement. A super fight or a heavyweight title fight will get them half way there to that goal. I am not sure that the UFC can pull it off, but I am excited to see if they can.

If it were up to me, I would pit Anderson Silva vs. Mighty Mouse, John Dodson, and Joseph Benevidez but you have asked for realism so here is my real answer. Jon Jones recently stated he would want to be featured on a Fox card and has also stated a desire to match up with Alexander Gustaffson. To me, this is the biggest fight they could realistically put on this card. To really blow it up, they could also put GSP vs. Hendricks or maybe another Ben Henderson title fight. If all things line up, Dos Santos-Velasquez 3 could play well also. Either way, match making will play an important role as the quality of fights that take place will trump the quality of fighters involved.
