Predict the outcome for UFC 135's Light Heavyweight Championship bout between Jon Jones and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson - who wins and how?
RICH HANSEN, MMATORCH COLUMNIST
Really? Jones is gonna blasterize him with a bodaciously pugnacious immediacy that will make a grown man's eyes fill up with cryitude.
FRANK HYDEN, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR
I think Jon Jones wins this fight by second round TKO. I wouldn't be stunned if Rampage were to win, but I think the odds are against it. Jones is just too dynamic. I think he spends the first round testing the range and avoiding a power shot from Rampage before opening it up in the second round to get the finish.
ANWAR PEREZ, MMATORCH COLUMNIST
As much as I'd like to see Rampage Jackson "get his belt back," I'm also realistic that it's not going to happen. At least not while Jon Jones has the belt. Jones will neutralize Rampage's wrestling, and outclass him in a striking war that will see Jones dispatching of Rampage in either the second or third round. I'd like to be wrong, but Jon Jones is the most complete fighter not named Anderson Silva or Georges St-Pierre. Jon Jones via TKO.
ERIC HOBAUGH, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR
I would really love to see Rampage win. I love him as a fighter and he is always fun to watch. Part of that for me is I believe if he loses, he probably will not fight again. Rampage has a puncher's chance. He also has good wrestling. Jones will win this fight in the third round by TKO. I think Rampage stays close with his wrestling and even gets a takedown or two. Jones will get back up quickly and use his length and freaky strikes to end the fight.
CHRIS PARK, MMATORCH UK SPECIALIST
The last few weeks Rampage Jackson has reduced the weight of the underdog tag around his neck. A mixture of his own confidence and the impact that his "spy" claims appear to have had on Jones make some people consider the possibility that Jackson may just reclaim the title this Saturday night.
I personally think you have to look past all the hype and revert back to your initial gut instinct. So for me, I'm saying Jones and via vicious TKO. @MMATorchUK
MATT PELKEY, MMATORCH COLUMNIST
After Rampage reminded Jon Jones that he's never been in the championship rounds of a fight at the pre-fight press conference I think "Bones" will make it a point to drag the fight into the fourth before he ends it whichever way he sees fit. My guess is we'll get the Jon Jones special, i.e. takedown, side control, vicious elbows until the ref pulls him off.
