A very fun featherweight bout between Mackens Semerzier and Robert Peralta ended under disappointing circumstances on the prelims of UFC on Fox on Saturday night.
After an even two rounds, an accidental headbutt a minute and a half into the third dropped Semerzier to the mat. He tried to recover by grabbing the leg of Peralta, but a series of undefended blows caused referee "Big" John McCarthy to halt the fight.
The loss was Semerzier's fourth in his last five fights, while Peralta is now 2-0 in the UFC. The result could potentially be appealed due to the accidental foul being missed.
