The UFC went over ten years under Zuffa ownership before running an event in Brazil this August, but the wait time for Brazilian fans this time around won't be very long. According to a report from MMAJunkie.com, UFC 142 will take place on January 14, 2012, and will emanate from the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, site of August's UFC 134 card.
Additionally, UFC President Dana White revealed on Thursday that a deal has already been struck to bring the first international edition of The Ultimate Fighter to Brazil next year, a season that will likely air for U.S. fans on Fuel TV. Calling it a "huge market" for the UFC, White said they intend to make as many trips as possible to Brazil going forward.
