Tim Boetsch continued his run up the middleweight ranks in Denver at UFC 135 Saturday night, defeating previously undefeated Nick Ring by decision on the Spike TV preliminary card.
Boetsch pressed the pace throughout the fight, but struggled with Ring's movement in the opening frame. However, Ring wore down as the fight continued on, and Boetsch began landing his strikes and wearing Ring down.
In the third round, Boetsch pulled off a highlight move with a beautiful hip toss-like throw, which led to him landing right in side control and working from the top to close out the fight. He's now won two fights in a row since dropping to middleweight.
