...OH, ONE MORE THING - PLEASE BOOKMARK US & VISIT DAILY!
By: Dan Moore, MMA Torch UK Contributor
Despite some big upsets on the undercard, most of us faired OK this week with our picks and betting. Sure, no one went 100% like Chris Wallner did at UFC 150, but thankfully no one disgraced themselves either. Heavily backed favorites Matt Hamill, Michael Bisping and Jon Jones saved the competition from being an absolute disaster. Earlier loses for heavily backed fighters like Charlie Brenneman, Evan Dunham and Jimy Hettes meant defeat for some contestants, before the main card had even started.
Without any rest for yours truly; we return next week for the UFC on FUEL 5 event with a full confidence and betting game. Both titles will be on the line and should any of the contenders not show up, challengers will be sourced from the pool(s) below. Without further ado, let's take a look at how UFC 152 panned out for you all:

CONFIDENCE GAME RESULTS
Chris Wallner (24 points) defeats Dionicio "Dominus" Ortiz (24 points) to become the NEW MMA Torch Confidence Picks Champion. Rather like UFC 150, this one was extremely close only without the controversy of the last match up. Both competitors ended up with 24 points so it went to the first tiebreaker, the number of correctly picked winners. Dionicio picked up wins courtesy of Pierson, Hamill and Jones; but Chris came out on top by backing Pierson, Hamill, Jones, Bisping and Gagnon to take home the title after another closely fought battle.
Congratulations to Chris who moves on to UFC on FUEL 5 next week as reigning champion, where he'll face off against Mitchell McDonald who scored an impressive 63 points, on a night involving several upsets.
Here are the results of the Confidence Picks pool:
63 - Mitchell McDonald 59 - David Moxon 56 - Trent Sainsbury 54 - Joe Williams 51 - Clay Burley 50 - Joel "The Flying Dutchman" Wielenga 50 - John Theis 49 - Marcos Rodriguez 48 - James Tippett III 44 - Paul Connellan 44 - Chris McCann 43 - Tom Strong 42 - Jose Gonzalez 42 - "Ravishing" Mark Sacchetti 41 - Simon Kerry 40 - James Cater 40 - Daryl Chumbley 40 - Richard Race 40 - Gareth Moores 38 - JayMon 1002 37 - Rich Hansen 36 - Dan Moore 35 - Jason McKee 34 - Anthony Sinnott 34 - Charles Mickael 34 - Harry Cooper 33 - Scott Cumming 33 - Nick Williams 32 - Mark Bunce 32 - Jamie Penick 31 - Ross Lucas 30 - Scott Pipher 30 - Avery Clarke 28 - Jimbo Slice 26 - Erwin "Skarz" Bouwman 25 - Shaun Louis 25 - Matt Page 25 - Sam Martin 24 - Casey Vaccaro 21 - Carll Light 16 - David "Crewcut" Corser

Everyone else will be fighting for the No 1 contender slot on the night, and the right to face off against Chris or Mitchell at UFC 153 (Silva vs. Bonnar).
BETTING GAME RESULTS
Dan Moore ($1531.43) defeats Rich Hansen ($920.71) to retain his status as undisputed MMA Torch Betting Picks Champion. Neither contender really covered themselves in glory, but my lucky punts on both Cub Swanson and Vinny Magalhaes paid real dividends. Both of us lost our parlay early on and as a contest, it was all over before the Bisping vs. Stann fight even started, despite the fact we had a combined $800 riding on the outcome.
Dan Moore: $1531.43
$200 on Magalhaes for $520
$200 on Swanson for 540
$300 on Bisping for $471.43
Rich Hansen: $920.71
$500 on Bisping for $785.71
$50 on Swanson for $135
Up next for me is Marcos Rodriguez who hit for an impressive $4896.60 without dropping a cent. He held off some very solid competition from Anthony, Harry and Tom, all of whom posted returns that would have won on other weeks. Backing triple underdogs in the parlay is always a risky bit of business, but when it pays off, sensational. I need to up my game again next week when I face off against Marcos at UFC on FUEL 5.

RECAP
MMA Torch Confidence Picks Championship Match Up (UFC on FUEL 5)
Chris Wallner (Champion) vs. Mitchell McDonald (Challenger)
MMA Torch Betting Picks Championship Match Up (UFC on FUEL 5)
Dan Moore (Champion) vs. Marcos Rodriguez (Challenger)
Performer of the Night: A few of you could easily lay claim to POTN this weekend. Notable performances from David Moxon in the confidence picks game and Marcos Rodriguez for earning big returns in the betting game. However my choice this weekend goes to Mitchell McDonald for being the only competitor to score 60+ points despite a few of the favorites being beaten last night.
Goat of the Night: New champion Chris Wallner deserves serious consideration for this award, but he became a champion despite his poor effort, so he's rightly excluded. Notable mention for newcomer David Corser who's learnt quickly that this game isn't easy. Despite the competition for GOTN though, it has to go to Carll Light for his 21 point, $0 return this weekend.
We will be back for UFC on FUEL 5 during the week, so keep an eye out for that. I'll also continue to post links on my Twitter account when the contests go live on the website.
