The deadline to enter the Championship Tournaments for the MMATorch Unlimited Fight League is Thursday, June 11 at midnight Eastern. These tournaments are to crown the champions of each weight class. After that, the League reverts to a "season" format, where the champion defends his title every week while the rest of the fighters jockey for position. If you can't fight in the tournaments, that's ok. You can still fight in the League. The League is ongoing, so you can come in late and still join. I posted a blog on May 29 with more information about the League, I'll reprint it here.

All right, the website that I'm going to use to coordinate everything isn't quite done yet. I have most of it done, but there's a few things that I need to work on. One of the areas that's done is the Calender section. It's just a calender that displays the activity of the day, no big deal, but it should help remind some people sometimes. Basically the schedule is going to be-

Monday: The new rankings are announced

Tuesday: The day to challenge someone. You don't need to challenge someone if you don't want to. I'll decide the match-ups based on the rankings otherwise. For instance, say the #5 ranked fighter challenges the #2 ranked fighter. The #2 ranked fighter can accept or refuse, whichever he wants. If he refuses, I'll match him up against the most worthy opponent for him. I'm trying to put together a forum or message-board for these challenges to be.

Wednesday: The week's fights are announced on the Schedules section. This is who you fight for the week. I decided to go with a weekly fight schedule because I've heard from several people that can only fight on weekends or at certain times. There's no way I'd be able to keep up with having each fighter having multiple matches per week. Note- You can fight as many exhibition matches as you want, and whenever you want. These are the ones that you set up yourself. Exhibition matches have no bearing on the official rankings.

Thursday: The first Official Fight day. The sooner you're able to complete your fight the better. It'd be great if as many people as possible fought on Thursdays. But like I said, not everyone is capable of doing that. Note- You can fight on Wednesdays as well, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to get the week's schedule of fights up so it may not always be possible to fight on Wednesdays.

Friday: The 2nd Official Fight Day

Saturday: The 3rd, and final, Official Fight Day. I would ask you all to have your fights done by this day at the latest. If something happens, I can be flexible. That's what the next day is for...

Sunday: The Make-up Fight Day. This is the absolute last day that fights can happen. I would strongly encourage all of you to do everything you can to avoid having to fight on Sundays. If I don't hear from you by Sunday evening, you forfeit. My suggestion would be to e-mail or leave an online message for your opponent on Wednesday, possibly Thursday if you have to. If you don't hear from your opponent in 1 days time, e-mail me. I will try to get a hold of your opponent. I don't want anyone to have to forfeit, but I can't allow someone who's ready to fight and who shows up on time to get screwed.

If you know you're not going to be able to fight during a certain week, contact me as soon as possible. If you e-mail me before I make the next week's schedule, you can avoid a loss. I would greatly appreciate the heads-up, as well.

I'm accepting entries for the league now. This is for Created Fighters only. You can compete in as many weight classes as you want. If you want to compete in all 5 weight classes, cool, but you don't have to.

Whoever wants to join, I need a few things.
1. I need your Gamertag or PS3 name (I'm writing this up for both leagues since they'll be identical to each other, besides the system).
2. I need to know what weight class you want to compete in.
3. I need to know your fighter's name.

I don't know if I'm forgetting anything or not. If anyone has any questions, e-mail me.

Also, this is very important. When reporting results, I need as much info as possible. Tell me your name and your opponent's name. Tell me your Gamertag (or PS3 name) and your opponent's Gamertag (or PS3 name). Tell me your fighter's name and your opponent's fighter's name. That's the most important one there, the names of the fighters in the match. I also want to know what round the fight ended, and how did it end. If you know the time, great, it's not necessary but it's good to know."

"There's still a large contingent of people, that they just want to see these guys almost die, or the other guy almost die and come back, and sometimes fights are like that. Certainly they are. But sometimes you get technical masterpieces too, and to hate a beautiful, technical fight - you're not really a fight fan...
