The featherweight bout between "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung and George Roop at WEC 51 has been moved to the televised card of the night's event, as the organization will have a five fight televised card for Versus on September 30.
The bout, pitting the last two opponents of Leonard Garcia, had previously been reported as part of the night's preliminary card, but the organization has now moved it to the televised portion.
Jung made his WEC debut in one of the best fights of the year against Garcia at WEC 48. That bout, which aired live on Spike TV as the lead in to the pay-per-view event, showcased Jung's exciting brawling style against a perfect opponent in Garcia. Though he didn't get the nod from the judges, many fans believed he should have earned the decision, and a star was made.
Roop, former castmember of The Ultimate Fighter's eighth season, hasn't found any success in his drop in weight thus far. Moving from lightweight to bantamweight in his WEC debut, he dropped a decision to Eddie Wineland. Facing Garcia at WEC 46 in January, the two fought to a draw.
The event will take place on Versus on September 30 from the 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colo., headlined by a Featherweight Championship bout between Jose Aldo and Manvel Gamburyan.
Penick's Analysis: That's great that the WEC decided to go with the five fight televised card to get this one on the air. After the fight with Garcia, Jung should definitely be on TV for this fight. With Garcia taking on Hominick on the card, Jamie Varner facing Donald Cerrone a second time and Miguel Torres looking to make a triumphant return, this card is not hurting for excitement. It's definitely the must-see event of September.

"There's still a large contingent of people, that they just want to see these guys almost die, or the other guy almost die and come back, and sometimes fights are like that. Certainly they are. But sometimes you get technical masterpieces too, and to hate a beautiful, technical fight - you're not really a fight fan...

"There was a lot of poison going on around there and I'm really disappointed because we had a good thing going. It was a good thing and I think people's egos got in the way. Well, not people just Javier, his ego got in the way, and too many cameras in the gym and him trying to build himself up and his brand, his AKA brand...
