The winning fighters from two of the most exciting fights of 2010 are now set to match up at WEC 51 in September, according to a report from MMAWeekly.com.
Per the report, Mark Hominick and Leonard Garcia have both agreed to face off on the card, coming to Broomfield, Colo. on September 30.
Hominick defeated Yves Jabouin last month at WEC 49 in a spectacular fight. After an extremely back and forth first round, Hominick nearly finished Jabouin in the second before being dropped with a huge right. He then reversed position on the ground and finished Jabouin with punches from the mount.
Garcia took a split decision in April over "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung in one of the most exciting fights in not only WEC history, but MMA history. While Garcia didn't win convincingly, he still put in a hell of a performance in what was an excellent back and forth bout.
Jung will be facing off against George Roop on this card, which will air live on Versus from the 1STBANK Center.
Penick's Analysis: This is the fight Hominick wanted after he beat Jabouin, and there's almost no way this fight is anything but exciting. It's just a great matchup, both fighters are willing to stand in the pocket and swing punches and both fighters are fairly good on the ground. Really, after the performances they each had in their last bouts, fans should just be very excited for this one.

"There's still a large contingent of people, that they just want to see these guys almost die, or the other guy almost die and come back, and sometimes fights are like that. Certainly they are. But sometimes you get technical masterpieces too, and to hate a beautiful, technical fight - you're not really a fight fan...

"There was a lot of poison going on around there and I'm really disappointed because we had a good thing going. It was a good thing and I think people's egos got in the way. Well, not people just Javier, his ego got in the way, and too many cameras in the gym and him trying to build himself up and his brand, his AKA brand...
