Former WEC Featherweight Champion Urijah Faber was getting ready to make his WEC bantamweight debut on this week's WEC 50 card against Takeya Mizugaki when an injury forced him off the card. Now, according to WEC General Manager Reed Harris in comments made to MMAJunkie.com, Faber is healed up and ready to return.

"He just wants to get back in there so bad," Harris said. "He was good for September probably. But we had our card set already in Denver, so he's going to fight in November. And I think he's going to fight Takeya Mizugaki."

That September card is WEC 51, stacked with a number of great fights already. Harris said that Mizugaki could have taken a different fight while Faber was recovering, but he wanted to wait for Faber to return.

The November card will take place on November 10, and will be WEC 52 as the organization will take the month of October off. They then close the year off with WEC 53, coming to Phoenix, Arizona, who won the "Hometown Takedown" contest.

Penick's Analysis: There just wasn't any room for this fight on next month's card, but it makes for a good fight still in November. It's a fight I was very much looking forward to before Faber's injury delayed it, so I'm glad they're still getting matched up. With Dominick Cruz beating Joseph Benavidez this week, Faber likely sets himself up for a title shot in the division with a win, though he'd probably take on the winner of a Cruz vs. Scott Jorgensen fight.
