This Joanna Champion business might just catch on if the Strawweight Queen keeps putting on shows like this.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk put a beating on Jessica Penne in Berlin today, overwhelming the former Invicta Atomweight Champion with both the volume and effectiveness of her striking. Jedrzejczyk was relentless throughout the duration of the fight, pummeling the challenger with continuous punches, kicks and elbows. The beginning of the end came in the second round when Jedrzejczyk opened a monster cut next to Penne's nose with a wicked elbow. Penne was game and made it another round, but Marc Goddard had seen enough with under a minute left in the third. With this emphatic win, Jedrzejczyk becomes the first woman to successfully defend the strawweight title.
