- Sam Sicilia def. Godofredo Pepey via TKO at 1:42 of the first round

=====Fox Sports 1 Main Card=====

-Jon Anik and Kenny Florian welcome in the TV audience to tonight's card. They discuss the main event (and honestly, that fight's one of the biggest they've put on these FS1 cards since the debut in August), break down the general rules as always, then head right to the first main card fight.

FIGHT ONE: RONY JASON VS. JEREMY STEPHENS (FEATHERWEIGHT)

ROUND ONE: Stephens moved in forward early, but it was Jason running in with a jumping knee and backing Stephens up quick. Stephens came back and they each missed a right hand strike. Stephens then crushed Jason with a head kick! He landed a huge strike on the ground to finish it off. WOW! Just an absolutely brutal finish, and Stephens is 2-0 at featherweight. Stephens ducked right into the head kick, and took a Hendo-to-Bisping level bomb on the ground.

WINNER: Stephens via KO at :40 of the first round

STAR RATING: (**) Too short to amount to much more, but that's a freaking highlight reel finish from Stephens in his second featherweight fight.

FIGHT TWO: SANTIAGO PONZINIBBIO VS. RYAN LAFLARE (MIDDLEWEIGHT)

ROUND ONE: Ponzinibbio moved forward early and LaFlare threw a kick. LaFlare landed a straight kick and a combo, then backed away from a strike. LaFlare scored a takedown and got right to the mount. He landed a couple of strikes but Ponzinibbio escaped from the mount. Ponzinibbio briefly worked to his feet, but LaFlare took him back down and got into the mount again. He postured up with a couple of big elbows. He briefly tried for an arm triangle but gave it up. Ponzinibbio escaped again and tried to take LaFlare's back, but LaFlare got back to top position in the guard. Ponzinibbio kicked him off and got to his feet, but ate a right hand for his troubles. Ponzinibbio threw a couple of kicks which were blocked and then he quickly got taken down again. Ponzinibbio tried to kick him off again, and finally did. LaFlare popped in a short uppercut. He got in a kick to the body. Ponzinibbio had a few strikes blocked before the round ended.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 LaFlare. Easy round for the Long Island native. Ponzinibbio just didn't have an answer for the takedowns in that round.

ROUND TWO: LaFlare opened up with kicks to the legs and body right off the bat in the round. He caught a kick and looked to move in, but stepped back as Ponzinibbio threw a strike. LaFlare scored another takedown. Ponzinibbio got to his feet on the cage and ate a few knees before getting separation. LaFlare landed a knee after a strike was blocked. LaFlare continued throwing kicks. The action stalled considerable for a bit. LaFlare landed several strikes. Ponzinibbio landed a big counter and started getting LaFlare on the move. LaFlare tried to fire back himself. LaFlare ducked under a kick and scored a takedown with a minute left. He passed to half guard, but wasn't able to do a ton more before round ended.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 LaFlare. Clear round for the American.

ROUND THREE: LaFlare took the center early and did a solid job countering what was thrown by Ponzibbio. LaFlare caught a spinning kick, picked Ponzinibbio up, and slammed him into side control. Ponzinibbio tried to stay alive while on his back. He got his back to his feet. LaFlare moved in forward and landed a huge knee that dropped Ponzinibbio. He landed several big strikes on the ground but it wasn't stopped. LaFlare continued the assault on the ground, but this really should have been stopped a bit earlier. He finally got his wits about him and stood. He threw a strike as he ate a couple as the round continued. Ponzinibbio then hurt LaFlare and Ponzinibbio started throwing upkicks from his back. Ponzinibbio dove in with a punch, and LaFlare used an omoplata to sweep him and get back on top.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 LaFlare. He was simply the better fighter tonight. Did everything just a little bit better than Ponzinibbio in this one.

WINNER: LaFlare via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

STAR RATING: (*+) There were OK moments, and there were some really awful moments in that fight. Nothing much more to say in that one.

FIGHT THREE: PAULO THIAGO VS. BRANDON THATCH (WELTERWEIGHT)

ROUND ONE: Both opened up throwing but they were a bit out of range. Thatch kept the pressure on and landed a body kick. Thiago threw an overhand right. Thatch tossed in a knee but Thiago countered it to score a takedown. Thatch quickly used the cage to get to his feet, though, and landed a couple of knees as they battled in the clinch. Thatch backed off and landed some strikes. Thiago fired back but Thatch kept him against the cage. He got in a knee before they separated. Thatch then landed a big strike, and dropped Thiago with a knee to the body. Thatch landed a couple more strikes and Thiago tapped to the strikes. On replay, Thiago was tapping immediately after the body strike.

WINNER: Thatch via submission (strikes) at 2:10 of the first round

STAR RATING: (**+) That's just... wow. Paulo Thiago is no joke. He's a Brazilian special forces officer who has faced untold horrors outside of fighting, and Thatch just made him tap to strikes. That tells the story right there. Fantastic second UFC win for Thatch.

FIGHT FOUR: RAFAEL FEIJAO VS. IGOR POKRAJAC (LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT)

ROUND ONE: Pokrajac came rushing in with strikes and Feijao fired back off the cage. Pokrajac clinched and pressed Feijao's back to the cage. Feijao got in the Thai clinch and landed a big series of knees to the body and the head. Pokrajac was hurt, and Feijao backed off and dropped him with strikes, forcing the ref stoppage after a couple more on the ground.

WINNER: Feijao via submission (strikes) at 1:18 of the first round

STAR RATING: (**) Two straight submissions due to strikes when that's among the rarest finishes in the UFC. Nice. Feijao looked as good as he has in a long while, and that was a much needed win for him.

-They re-air the crazy Thiago Perpetuo vs. Omari Akhmedov fight from the prelims.

FIGHT FIVE: CEZAR FERREIRA VS. DANIEL SARAFIAN (MIDDLEWEIGHT)

ROUND ONE: Sarafian tried to chase Ferreira down immediately, and Ferreira threw some kicks to try to stave him off. Sarafian closed the distance and clinched, but got stuffed on the cage. Sarafian dropped to try to set up a takedown, but the larger Ferreira stopped it. Sarafian stayed on the attempt until they were separated. Sarafian landed a couple of punches. Ferreira briefly scored a takedown, but they were quickly to their feet. Sarafian wound up getting in some solid strikes late in the round. Ferreira swung late but didn't really connect.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 Sarafian. He kept the pressure on and scored some solid strikes. Close round though.

ROUND TWO: Ferreira scored a takedown in the opening minute after Sarafian rushed in. Sarafian was cut open a minute and a half into the round as the action stalled. Sarafian got back to his feet and went back to pressing in. He hurt Ferreira with a right. Ferreira came right back and scored another takedown. The crowd booed some general inactivity, and the two were stood up as Ferreira was attempting to pass. Odd timing on the stand up. Sarafian pushed back in and ducked for a takedown, but he was stuffed on the cage.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 Ferreira. Had Sarafian actually scored a knockdown it might have gone his way, but he didn't do enough to negate being on his back that long.

ROUND THREE: Sarafian scored a solid strike early, and Ferreira fired back. Sarafian had a brief clinch, then let it go and unloaded a big combination. Ferreira ducked under a strike and scored a takedown a minute into the round. Ferreira stayed just busy enough to avoid a stand up as Sarafian tried to get his back to the cage. Ferreira kept him on his back. They were eventually stood up, but Ferreira took him right back down to the boos of the crowd. He got Sarafian's back, but Sarafian got to his feet. Ferreira tried to lock on a choke as the round wound down to an end, but couldn't secure it.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 Ferreira. Sarafian couldn't overcome the takedowns.

WINNER: Ferreira via split decision (28-29, 30-27, 30-28)

STAR RATING: (*) Not a good fight. One judge surprisingly gave a 10-10 round somewhere, and I can't blame him. Ferreira didn't do a ton with his takedowns, but it was enough to just barely negate the offense Sarafian had on the feet.

MAIN EVENT FIGHT SIX: VITOR BELFORT VS. DAN HENDERSON (LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT)

ROUND ONE: Belfort circled on the outside early as Henderson took the center. Henderson's left ankle was taped up. Very tentative start with no strikes thrown in the opening minute. Henderson rushed in and hesitated and got dropped. Belfort started going berserker, then Henderson tried to get up and Belfort flattened him with a huge left kick to the face and the fight was stopped with a couple more strikes on the ground. Replay showed it was an uppercut that scored the initial knock down.

WINNER: Belfort via KO at 1:17 of the first round

STAR RATING: (**+) Belfort's absolutely on fire right now. That's probably more impressive than what he did to either Bisping or Rockhold, and he should be fighting the winner of Anderson Silva-Chris Weidman, even if it's a rematch with Silva. Of course, that should be contingent on him passing any and all drug tests in the U.S.
