Urijah Faber wasn't on his game for the entire fight tonight, but in the end it didn't matter.
Scott Jorgenson was game early in the first round, scoring a takedown on Faber, but the takedown was the end of his offensive output for that five minute period. Faber landed more on the feet, featuring a nasty knee to the body, and he was more effective on the ground, securing a tight body triangle with two minutes left in the round.
Jorgensen fared better in the second round, but failed to definitively turn the tide in his favor. That changed in the third round as Faber seemed to slow down and failed to get off first for most of the round. Jorgensen was able to land effectively for much of the round and win scrambles. Faber seemed to sense the fight slipping away in the last minute and secured a takedown to commence ground and pound until the horn sounded.
The fourth round opened with some back-and-forth exchanges on the feet for the first three minutes or so with neither man really gaining a big advantage over the other. Faber continued to look more sluggish as the fight wore on. He seemed to come alive, though, when the fight hit the floor for what would prove to be the final time. In a heartbeat, Faber took Jorgensen's back and grabbed a body triangle, after which he cinched a rear naked choke and forced Jorgensen to tap out.
