Last Saturday's Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale saw a clear increase from the average ratings of the Wednesday night pre-taped timeslot throughout the season, and brought 1.8 million viewers to Spike TV on average during the three hour broadcast.

The broadcast drew a 1.32 household rating, along with a 1.74 in men 18-49 and a 1.95 in men 18-34.

Additionally, the broadcast was the #1 show in its timeslot for those key demographics on the night, and even registered in the top five for adult women for that timeslot.

The broadcast featured the Ultimate Fighter 13 finals between Tony Ferguson and Ramsey Nijem, which Ferguson won by knockout in the first round, as well as Clay Guida's lightweight victory over Anthony Pettis. They also fit in two preliminary card bouts, airing a total of seven fights during the broadcast.

Penick's Analysis: The ten-episode show averaged just 1.3 million viewers for the season, so the live finale brought in 500,000 more viewers. This was the lowest rated overall season of the long-running reality show, a surprising stat considering Brock Lesnar's involvement, but the change in timeslot and the fact that people seem only interested in watching Lesnar fight and nothing else worked to its detriment. They'll hope to rebound with season 14 in the fall and the return of Michael Bisping to the program, and hopefully with the influx of bantamweight and featherweight fighters we'll see a good season of fights all around.
