In a scary update to Alan "The Talent" Belcher's current injury issues, his wife took to Twitter to let his fans know he was undergoing yet another eye surgery.
Belcher was forced out of his Fight Night 22 headlining bout with Demian Maia after suffering a detached retina in training. He underwent surgery for that and was recovering, but his wife Ashlee Belcher revealed that he went back under the knife.
"Yesterday his vision was blurry again," Ashlee Belcher tweeted. "Today [he's] heading into another surgery on [the] same eye please keep praying."
She later updated his status after surgery, letting fans know they were back at home.
"We are home," she wrote. "He is in a lot of pain though. Next few weeks are really important. He has to lay face down :( thanks for prayers."
For fans that would like to send get well wishes or cards to Belcher, Ashlee tweeted the address to Belcher's gym where those can be sent. So fans can send those well wishes to 10322 Gorenflo Rd Diberville MS 39340.
Penick's Analysis: That's a really unfortunate development for Belcher, but hopefully the surgery went well and he can make a recovery. This eye issue is not something that's going to be an easy fix, and there isn't a guarantee he can return. I hope that's not the case, because it would be a complete shame for someone with as much promise as Belcher had shown to have his career cut short by something like this.

"There's still a large contingent of people, that they just want to see these guys almost die, or the other guy almost die and come back, and sometimes fights are like that. Certainly they are. But sometimes you get technical masterpieces too, and to hate a beautiful, technical fight - you're not really a fight fan...

"There was a lot of poison going on around there and I'm really disappointed because we had a good thing going. It was a good thing and I think people's egos got in the way.
